Community

The London Bridge City team has cultivated a vibrant home that connects like-minded people seeking adventure, creativity, entertainment and relaxation. With a strong community spirit demonstrated in much charitable work, London Bridge City is a stylish, yet warm, London hub that understands what makes people tick.

With a community spirit that is highlighted in the charitable work – annually supporting many charities through fundraising events and activities – London Bridge City has a firm belief in enriching its iconic London neighbourhood by supporting local community groups and charities. It proudly hosts many free events in this iconic venue that attracts big businesses, the movers and shakers on our estate and visitors from all over the capital and the world. In addition to working closely with Southwark Council, London Bridge City also has a strong partnership with Team London Bridge to provide the community with the very best offerings.

London Bridge City has a dedicated team driven by a shared ethos to ‘give back’ to its riverside London district and offer charities free use of the space, as well as supporting events via the London Bridge City social media channels and newsletters. This ethos stems from a core business value and CSR initiatives that creates and enhances the quality of life for all who share the iconic London neighbourhood.

London Bridge City is proudly supporting The Family Holiday Association for London as our chosen charity for the year. Here is some information from our Charity partner:

For over 40 years, the Family Holiday Association has provided breaks for UK families struggling with issues such as disability, severe and sudden illness, bereavement, mental health issues and domestic violence.

The charity was founded on the belief that holidays are a lifeline, not a luxury, and this is a key principle that survives to this day. The majority of families we help have never before been on a family holiday. The evidence shows that spending time together away from their daily struggles can be life-changing for the families we work with.

The majority of breaks we provide involve short trips to the British seaside. We also enable families to go on day trips – such as a simple day out at the seaside or local tourist attraction or museum – and occasionally other types of break, such as group trips. We do not offer trips abroad.

All the families we support are referred to us by professionals in the community who we believe are best placed to identify those who will benefit the most. Our referral network includes teachers, social workers, health visitors and other charities.
